REMITTANCES are an affordable, quick safe way to send small funds across borders
from one person to another. Most common usage in today's terms are a
portion of an immigrant worker's earnings sent back to family members in his
or her country of origin.

INDIVIDUAL DEPOSIT
ACCOUNTS (IDAs) are asset building accounts that are matched to provide
assistance to designated groups to help promote an affordable schedule of
savings.

CU@School aids our
outreach to local elementary schools using research, curricula and execution
from some of the country's leading experts and leaders in youth financial
literacy.

FINANCIAL EDUCATION COURSES provide people
with the tools they need to manage their own financial lives. Budgeting,
credit card awareness, homebuying, checking account management and credit
understanding are some topics included in the multi-week course. Offered at
both the Winthrop and South End branches.

SECONDARY CAPITAL
INVESTMENTS are at-or-below market rate investments for those groups that are
interested in helping support the outreach efforts of the WFCU.

NON-MEMBER CHECK CASHING allows
people to cash bank, government or payroll checks at either branch for a
nominal 1 percent fee. This service is provided to 1) provide a low-cost
service to people who may pay higher fees at a check cashing outfit, and 2)
provide an opportunity to reach the area's unbanked population and encourage
credit union membership and financial education.

PAYDAY ALTERNATIVE
LOANS are to help members who may have shortages in cash flow before payday.
Like other alternative loans, the goal is to minimize exposure to corner check
cashing outfits while educating the member to prevent these loans from
becoming habit-forming.

CREDIT REPAIR LOANS
are offered to help members improve their credit ratings so they become
eligible for better loan rates and programs. WFCU requires the member to
enroll in Financial Education as part of this program.

EMERGENCY LOANS are
short-term loans to eligible members for reasons of a severe, immediate
financial hardship. An emergency circumstance can be defined as an unforeseen,
unplanned and unavoidable event that demands a member to secure funds on a
short basis.

ATM ACCESS CARD is
an ATM card which accesses the member's savings account only. This is a
great choice for members who do not have a checking account but would like the
convenience and security of ATM access to their funds.

MONEY ORDERS and
STAMPS are offered at the South End Neighborhood Branch only

COIN MACHINE is
located and offered to both members and non-members at the Winthrop branch
only.
